Welp… I’ve got a MacBook, and I’m so damn impressed.  They REALLY have come a long way on this last iteration.  I don’t know if there are any other people out there like me, who were down with Mac during OS 9 and rejoiced during OS X but were disgusted at how fast the G4s became celeron like.  I had a 12 inch iBook that became pretty much useless in 1 year.  It just made me sick.  I went Linux, and even went Windows for a year and a half. 

Now, I went and got a MacBook, and man they have totally gotten it right.  Not that they hadn’t all along, I was just really frustrated with my customer experience and had to go out there and see if something else could do the job.  They did the job, but they weren’t the complete package.  And to be honest, neither was Mac before the Core Duo was installed.  I’m using Parallels with Win XP Pro (thanks jaxn) and it’s amazing.  Best desktop virtualization I’ve ever experienced on a Mac. 

And I know that the Core 2 Duo is coming out soon, so this will be a wonderful present for Jessica in a few months :)
