Will I Ever By A Personal Computer That Isn’t From Apple Again?

I just don’t know. Now that Mac runs Intel and Parallels is a stable option to run any operating system I would want to, I can’t think of one reason not to replace my entire computer collection with macs, and resurrect my old ones (G4 400 MHz). Maybe I’ll want a Sun X86 box to run Solaris and Ubuntu. But I think that’s about it.

What’s next Tennessee… Apartheid?!?

Are we moving in the opposite direction from the rest of the civilized world? We (Tennessee) overwhelmingly voted that marriage is for a man and a woman only. I remember being about 8 years old on my dad’s back at a rally against apartheid in Brooklyn NY chanting “Reagan and Botha You Can’t Hide, We Charge You With Genocide!”. Twenty years later, Mandela has been released from prison, apartheid has ended, Mandela became president and now… they have legalized gay marriage.

Wow Tennessee! Way to go! And I love the way Corker took the election with those disgusting ads. How you can sit in office one day knowing you won with those ads… hey, I’m just waiting for the next blantantly racist, homophobic act from the Great State’s public servants.

I think I was depressed.

Maybe that’s why I haven’t blogged for a while. But looking at the world for the last 5 months has been tough. And I guess I didn’t have anything good to say, so I said nothing. I wanna talk again. If you wanna talk, comment here. I’ll start checking out your blog as well. I have a habit of reading Jackson Miller’s blog, just about everyday. He’s the one person who has truly demonstarted the importance of the conversation in the blogosphere that I know personally.

I guess I’m also ready to start talking about what I’m doing again. I’m creating a company, I’ll tell you more as it gets more solid. But it has cash flow today, which is a good sign. It also has several initiatives that I am excited about. I want this company to be about innovation, so I assume we will have a high percentage of misses in our endeavors. However I’m pretty convinced that some of these products that we are creating are going to be welcome in the market and models that others will follow. Any way, I missed you. Thanks for reading.

Hip Hop is the soundtrack of my life.

And this is the one thing I find eerily different from myself and most of the people I deal with at this point in my life. Hip Hop has a huge impact on the way I think, move and feel. No matter what else I do, I will always be an MC, and a hip hop fan. There is a power in a rhyme that I don’t ever want to be too far from. I’m dedicating a portion of this blog to Hip Hop, one constant in my life since the early 80s.
